Thanks for stopping by and peeking in on what I do in Fargo, ND. I shoot cute people, go on fun trips, update my addicting Instagram and live as a happy newlywed in a cute green house with my husband. I also like mail, so don't forget to say hi:) -Bethy

These sisters are my sweet and adorable friends, Hannah & Grace. We met in Bible College a few years ago and became BFF’s right away. (Okaaay. Not really. It took us a whole year to even talk to each other! Embarrassing.) I forgot about these photos, but due to the wonderful rush of winter here last night, Hannah stayed with me and happened to bring them up. ;D Oh yes.. you may notice I got my head in there too. I am learning I’m not the average photographer.. I kind of like being in front of the camera too. (Embarrassing again.) ;D

Family picture time is such a trying shoot for all of us..the shoot drags on and on and no one can be photogenic for even a few minutes. We try to outdo last year’s photo with better chairs and better outfits.. then everyone decides they have to grow taller, so arranging everyone gets harder and harder each year! But above all, we hate being in front of the camera…*snort laugh* Okayyyy. Most of that is just completely untrue. You’ll probably gather that part way through this post, as most of these are out-takes. We did, however, manage to take one shot everyone agreed on to be our 2010 Christmas picture. YAY!

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of hanging out and shooting Holly out here at the farm. We had emailed a few times about doing her family’s photos but instead, we ended up shooting just her for her website! Holly is a photographer from the state- and those of you who know me know I LOVE shooting other photographers! They just get love being creative! ;D Sure enough, she brought a collection of fun jewelry and cameras and perfect lighting! Okay, maybe that part just worked out…but still, she did more than her part in making this a great shoot. Thanks for the chit chat and facebook page tips, Holly! Enjoy the sneak peek- the others are on their way to ya!

Those of you who have stuck around for a while might remember Leah from a haybale shot I did a few years ago. She wore a red dress and sang away on the hills of Western North Dakota! We almost got kicked off the land as the farmer drove up on his four-wheeler! We shot together again, only this time our location was the Badlands. We didn’t get kicked off but we had quite a few curious cars as we were climbing all over the rocks… ;D These photos are for Leah’s portfolio..she is applying at a few schools (I can’t remember which ones, but I remember thinking WHOA, THAT’S BIG TIME) and wanted something dramatic and something that shows the beauty of North Dakota, where she’s grown up. That said, I didn’t have a hard time showing the beauty of Leah either! Hope you enjoy the photos and good luck Leah! OH.. I almost forgot. We took a video of her singing down the hills and I cannot figure out how to get it uploaded on here. You guys HAVE to hear her… anyone know how to do this? ;D Thanks!

I’m finally caught up enough to post a wedding from August! This is Kim & Andy’s beautiful wedding in southern Minnesota. They had a perfect day with fluffy white clouds- which made up for the super hot and humid treks through the state park! ;D Both Kim and Andy have beautiful families and everyone was so great to work with. Thanks so much for the wonderful day Michele and I had with you two! Congrats! ;D
